PURPLE CLOUDS

Created for and in collaboration with second-year BA Contemporary Dance students at the Irish World Academy of Music and Dance, University of Limerick, PURPLE CLOUDS explores rain as both a physical phenomenon and an emotional landscape. RHYTHMS OF LIVING

RHYTHMS OF LIVING is a performative walk through the Weitlingkiez neighbourhood in Berlin-Lichtenberg, that introduces the audience to the special characteristics of modernist architecture. The format of the walk-in opera consists of a guided tour that combines photography, algorithmic music and contemporary dance. Learn more.

BITTERSÜß

For more than four years, I worked with the white.spot.kollektiv as a choreographer and dancer, primarily with Sinja J. Völl and Hendryk Kar. The collective's second full-length production, ‘BITTERSÜß - A Piece of Candy’, is the choreographic result of a three-month self-experiment of complete abstinence from sugar. Learn more.

YAMI YAMI

YAMI YAMI - Next Generation is an experimental work that merges three shorter dance performances into a full-length piece. It combines the solo KEHRSEITE by Annekatrin Kiesel, the duet HUMAN INSIDE by Cornelia Trümper and Arthur Schopa, and the music-dance duet SUBCONTINENSCIOUS by Photini Meletiadis und Laurenz Gemmer. The three pieces are fragmented, juxtaposed, and interwoven, creating a dynamic and multifaceted performance. Learn more.

SWAMP

SWAMP is a solo dance performance that explores swamp landscapes as a metaphor for and a place of memories. With its immersive, at times meditative atmosphere, SWAMP invites the audience into an inner landscape where repression, flashbacks and disorientation mark a difficult yet healing journey of “working through” memories – much like crossing a swamp.

ROOTING MIND

​What comes to the surface? What remains hidden? The contrasting associative image of swamps is reflected in its fragile waterline. In the research project ROOTING MIND and the video work of the same name, the waterline serves as a superordinate symbol for exploring psycho-somatic states. Learn more.

LEERE RÄUME

LEERE RÄUME (Empty Spaces) was created in collaboration with the choreographer Anastasia Schwarzkopf and the violinist Ruth Brüns. An empty flat in Hamburg's Gängeviertel transforms to a place of reflection on the life once lived there. The three performers move from one room to another, but never meet. They sense each other like ghostly appearances, react to what they hear and feel through the walls. Learn more.
